Barça Regal kicked off their pre-season campaign with a trophy to add to the cabinet as they clinched the Liga Catalan title for the first time in four years.
The Palau Sant Jordi was the backdrop for the triumph and the semi finals kept apart DKV Joventut
and Xavi Pascual's side so a tantalising finale was on the cards.
Sant Josep de Girona were to be Barça Regal's opponents in the last four, but they proved to
be no match as the difference in class was highlighted with a final score of 95-53.
In the final things were expected to be much more even only for DKV Joventut, who beat
Bàsquet Manresa in their semi final, to be under par and go down 62-38.
Ricky Rubio stood out in the game against his former club with a rating of 15 after he netted
eight points along with five assists and four rebounds.
