Stared playing at a club owned by his family, La Bastidienne.
In 1985, he signed for Carbon-Blanc, a team from near Bordeaux, and stayed there until 1993. The same year, and until 1997, he played for Girondins in Bordeaux, before moving on to Spacer's Toulouse. He played for them until 1999, when he signed for HB Montpellier. After three terrific seasons at Montpellier, he left his country and joined FC Barcelona, where he has become one of the key members of the team.
CHARACTERISTICS
Right-handed player who plays at the front. His main qualities are an imposing physical shape, an excellent long-distance throw, and a great capacity for connecting with the pivot through quality passing. He is an intelligent player, a great goalscorer and has a terrific throw in the air.
