Croatian pivot who began playing in his home city of Zagreb, and spent four successful years in the HC Zagreb first team (1997-2001).
He then headed for Italy, playing for Prato in the 2001-02 season. His next port of call was also in Italy, Pallammano Conversano, one of the countrys strongest teams, before returning to his native Croatia for two seasons. Having developed considerably as a player, he arrived at Barça Cifec in the summer of 2005.
CHARACTERISTICS
He is a very strong pivot, excellent in defence, where he usually plays in front of the back line in a 5-1 defensive system, or as a full back. He can also play with a 6-0 defence or in a 3-2-1 system. In his national team he has done this alongside Davor Dominikovic. In attack, he seems the natural substitute for Andrei Xepkin, and like all Balkan players, he is highly competitive.
