The final of the Continental Cup saw a clash between the champions of the European League, Barça, and the winners of the CERS Cup in the 2006/07 season, Vilanova.
The game was played at Quevert in France and was clearly dominated by Barça Sorli Discau, who were 4-0 up at half-time with both David Páez and captain Alberto Borregán each bagging a pair. In spite of Vilanova’s efforts to get back into the game, Barça didn’t concede a goal and in the second half Lluís Teixidó, who won his first title as a Barça player, added one more to make the final score 5-0. It was Barça’s fourth title in a row in this competition.
