At just six years of age Miquel Masoliver started playing roller hockey at CP Roda, where he stayed until he was 16, before signing for Club Patí Vic.
He played for five seasons at his hometown club. In 2001, Masoliver signed for Portuguese side
Infante de Sagres. Two years later, in 2003, he moved to FC Barcelona. He was one of manager Carlos
Figueroa's most promising signings.
On an individual level, Masoliver won several honours in Portugal, where he played two
exceptionally good seasons.
CHARACTERISTICS
Once settled into the team, Miquel, despite being a defender, soon shone as a goalscorer. He is a remarkably sturdy, physical player, and a specialist at taking penalties.
