There were structural changes to Barça Sorli Discau in 2009/10. Quim Paüls became technical secretary and was replaced on the bench by Ferran Pujalte.
He was an excellent choice, as he was able to work well with the former manager and at the same
time add new professional expertise to a section that he already knew well, having played for the
club in his younger days.
Ferran Pujalte started outing together a new-look side with the inclusion of a replacement
for out-of-contract defender Miquel Masoliver. The man chosen was Argentina’s Reinaldo
García, who was already well-known from his performances for Coinasa Liceo and the Argentina
national team.
But there was also a need to add to the quota of outfield players, as injuries and other
setbacks had left the squad short on several occasions last season. Jordi Adroher was therefore
recalled after he had spent six years on loan to Roncato Patí Vic, and thus reinforced the Barça
forward line.
All three new inclusions played crucial roles in ensuring that this would be yet another
successful season for FCB roller hockey.
