One victory away from Vitoria
Carles Cascante
After round 26, Regal Barça is just one win behind the Vitoria outfit who went down on Sunday in Bilbao.
Regal FC Barcelona haven’t lost in their last nine games and this run of good form contrasts
with fortunes of their next opponents in the Euroleague quarter-finals. However, despite losing to
iurbentia, TAU still head the ACB.
Key players
One of the critical factors in Barça’s recent performances has been the play of Navarro
and Vázquez. The former is averaging 15.4 points per game, while the latter is at 11.2. Their fine
understanding is also helping the team up its game.
Meanwhile over at TAU, the Splitter-Rakocevic pairing hasn’t maintained its wonderful
early season performances. However, they are still the two best players in the League averaging
20.1 and 15.8 points respectively.
Rest of season
There are eight games left in the ACB regular season and the run-ins of the two sides, who go
head-to-head in round 33 at the Fernando Bruesa Arena in Vitoria, are not quite the same. Barça
have some tough matches such as a visit from Unicaja and a trip to Vistalegre to take on Madrid,
while the Basques will be hosting Juventud in the next round of games, go to Gran Canaria in round
30 and then receive Barça in round 33.
