Representatives of FC Barcelona and Unesco have met this Tuesday in their first meeting since signing their agreement in November. The aim of the session was to define objectives for 2008.

The venue was the new boxes at the Camp Nou where members of the FC Barcelona Foundation and Unesco started planning their projects for 2008. Those in attendance included Deputy Director General of Unesco, Marcio Barbosa; vice president of FC Barcelona, Albert Vicens; executive of FC Barcelona, Rafael Yuste; and the general manager of the Foundation, Lander Unzueta.

Barça and Unesco: united they are strong

Five year agreement

On November 23, FC Barcelona and Unesco signed an agreement at the headquarters of the United Nations Education Science and Culture Organisation in Paris. The historic agreement will last for five years and will mainly work on issues related to the fight against racism and violence in sport, awareness of drug problems and the development of the education and literacy of children at risk.
