Biggest crowd on Sunday
www.fcbarcelona.cat
The Nou Camp registered the highest attendance of the official season on Sunday when 89.876 spectators turned out to see the 3-0 win over Atletic Madrid.
It’s traditionally an attractive fixture when Atletico visit Barcelona and with both teams
making a good start to the campaign, as well as the early five o’clock kick off, it was
perhaps not surprising that the attendance was the highest so far this season, nor that there were
clearly a large cross section of fans at the ground from families to foreign fans and
supporters’ club members.
Best attendance for an official match
The attendance was more than 10,000 more than the previous highest so far – the 77.399
who turned out to see the game against Seville, whilst the 98,559 who attended the Gamper Trophy
win over Inter Milan was the largest single crowd at the stadium in all matches so far this season.
