The UEFA Media Open Day was held in the Camp Nou on Thursday and attracted 239 journalists from 18 different countries.
A Champions League final is more than just a football match, and Barça is more than a club
– that much at least is obvious judging by the excitement caused by the UEFA Media Open Day
held at the Camp Nou today ahead of next Wednesday’s final. Journalists from around the world
got the chance to hear the players’ opinions on the big final.
127 different media organizations
A total of 127 different media organizations were represented by 239 accredited journalists.
In all some 18 countries were represented: Spain, Argentina,
Germany, UK, USA, Italy, Belgium, Korea, France, Ireland, China, Holland, Japan, México, Denmark,
Sweden, Norway and Israel, plus journalists from the Middle East and Latin America.
The programme
Just after 5 pm the journalists were invited to a press conference with Leo Messi and Josep
Guardiola. The training session, which was open to the public, began at 6 pm after which the
players answered questions.
