Barça Village, new virtual meeting point

FC Barcelona and the E-Calcio company, from Wednesday, and on occasion of the final of the Champions League in Rome, have set up an online game dedicated to FC Barcelona.

It is a virtual city called ‘Barçavillage.com’ when fans can play, communicate and interact with each other as they share their passion for the FCB colours. So, the Barça Village is not just a chat, it is a veritable reconstruction of all the areas that make Barcelona and Barça so unique. The game respects the social, training, educational and sporting aspects of the Catalan capital.

For example, users can walk around Parc Güell, chat to other fans about club news, give their opinions about their favourite players and goals, or simply relax in the area around the Camp Nou. The game includes challenges, tournaments and training sessions, always with Barça as the main focus of attraction.

From May 27,  barcavillage.com will be open for users to register for free and get ready for the full launch on July 15, 2009 at the start of the new season, when the virtual city will offer even more Barça content to its ‘virtual visitors’.
