Barça and Catalonia
The Barça delegation were welcomed with applause from those present at
the floral tribute to the statue of Rafael Casanovas. Joan Laporta thanked them for this gesture
and emphasised FC Barcelona’s commitment to Catalonia and Catalan culture: “Thank you
for the welcome, because FC Barcelona does a lot for the country and we, in our own way, have a
deep rooted Catalan identity. FC Barcelona does everything necessary to promote the Catalan
culture. We have put on shows to prove this fact and it is really good to see how people recognise
this”.
