Barca support Fundación Vicente Ferrer

FC Barcelona and its Fundació are supporting moves to promote the Fundación Vicente Ferrer for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010.

FC Barcelona and its Fundació have joined in the popular movement to promote the Fundación Vicente Ferrer for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize and Fundació Director General stated today: “we are supporting this initiative because we believe in the great job that Vicenç Ferrer began decades ago and also because of our firsthand experience with his work”.

Working together

La Fundació FC Barcelon has worked since 2006 with the Fundación Vicente Ferrer. This collaboration has helped set up two XICS centres in Anantapur (India), in the towns of Bathalapalli and Atmakur, which help more than 400 vulnerable children in the area.

A dossier promoting the candidature for the prize was presented this Monday in Norway and a public presentation will be held on February 10th . The Nobel Peace Prize committee will announce its award in October.
