Barça helping the 1 Goal initiative

Joan Laporta attended the 1 Goal initiative with the director general of Barça's Foundation Marta Segú at the Mobile World Congress on Tuesday in an event that Queen Rania of Jordan was also present at.

Royal presence

Queen Rania was keen to extol the virtues of using mobile phones as a tool to help long distance education. Various politicians and sportsman also support the campaign that now has FC Barcelona helping. Barça star and club ambassador Thierry Henry joined United States star Mia Hamm are also involved in the initiative.

1 Goal is a campaign that is associated with the FIFA World Cup 2010 and aims to help all children to go to school and learn. The philosophy is in line with the XICS programme organised by the Barça Fundació.
