Lorenzo’s kit in the Museum

In the build up to the game with Athletic Bilbao, the Mallorcan rider presented the club with a helmet and overalls in honour of the six-trophy winning Barça.

Jorge Lorenzo has presented several gifts to the club museum – overalls, gloves and boots that the Moto GP wore in the race at Montmeló last season.

Tribute to the Barça of the 6 Cups

As he explained in an interview with Barça TV and the website, his gear is going where he wanted it to go. He wanted to honour Guardiola and his team for what they achieved last season, and decided that this gift to the club museum was the best way to do so.

The Camp Nou presidential box was the scene for the presentation, attended by president Joan Laporta, who returned the favour by giving Lorenzo a Barça shirt with the biker’s name on the back.
