Puyol grateful for birthday wishes on facebook

Captain Carles Puyol has thanked all the facebook used that congratulated him on his 32nd birthday on Tuesday.

More than 30,000 users left their best wishes on the official FC Barcelona facebook sire (www.facebook.com/fcbarcelona). Some 21,715 people clicked on the ‘like’ button and 8,295 left comments.

Captain’s response

Given such an astounding response, Carles Puyol replied by saying “thank you very much to all of you. It was a great present that I wasn’t expecting. Visca el Barça!” In just four hours of publication, 8,425 had already either clicked on ‘like’ ort left a message.

Guardiola, the first

Josep Guardiola, in January, was also offered special birthday wishes on the FC Barcelona facebook page. Some 18,000 took the chance to congratulate him, and the manager also took the time to write back saying thank you.
