FC Barcelona revealed the new Nike kits for the 2010-11 with a return to red shorts when at home standing out. The outfits will go on sale on June and supporters are now able to reserve theirs online.
Coinciding with the presentation of David Villa at the club, Barça released the new look shirts,
shorts and socks that they will don in the next campaign.
Yellow and red
The traditional Blaugrana stripes are thicker than last term on the first-choice kit and the
collar and trim is yellow while the Catalan flag, the Senyera, is prominent on the back of the neck
of the shirt.
Inside the collar the words "Tots units fem força" (Together we are strong) are taken from
the club hymn and on the left sleeve the slogan "Més que un club" (More than a club) is
embroidered.
One major change from last season is the re-introduction of red shorts that were previously
seen in the 2005-06 campaign that ended with a glorious Champions League win in Paris.
Green day
Barça's new away kit is predominantly green and carries the Blaugrana
colours across the chest. The team last wore the same colour in 1993-94 when they also reached the
European Cup Final.
There are the same details that have been described for the home shirts with the Senyera and
the mottos all forming part of a unique shirt.
Goalkeeper kit
Black is the shade that Víctor Valdés and the rest of the club's goalkeepers will
sport. The new look outfit has grey trim and the flag and mottos like the out-field players.
3D technology
The shirts are all Nike Dri-Fit which are designed to take sweat away
from the body and allows players to stay dry and fresh throughout a game. The three-dimensional
make-up allows greater circulation of air to the skin and avoids the top retaining water.
