only be good for the health of the Club. Marc Ingla told us. “It will allow him to begin his
mandate with tranquillity. It’s good for Barca that there has been a clear winner. He’s
a cast-iron, thoroughbred Barca fan. I’d like to congratulate him on his victory”.
Meanwhile, Jaume Ferrer expressed similar sentiments: “The overwhelming victory is good
for the Club because it gives legitimacy to the Board”.
All in the same boat
Agustí Benedito wished Sandro Rosell “the very best of luck, because his luck will be
Barca’s luck”.
Ferrer disappointed
The most disappointed of the three defeated candidates was Jaume Ferrer: “I’m
surprised because neither the polls nor the feeling today told us we would get such a bad
result”.
For his part, Mr Ingla told us. "I’m grateful for the participation and to the
thousands of members who voted for us. Perhaps I put my name forward too late”. Finally, Mr
Benedito admitted: “People have put many hours into this. We did an 8-day campaign against
candidates who had been preparing for years. I believe we did a good job”.
