FC Barcelona have passed the 10 million fans mark on Facebook, the world’s leading social
networking website, ahead of Manchester United and Real Madrid. The figure has been reached thanks
to the participation of fans all over the world, whose comments and support mean that the Club has
more fans than, for example, the NBA.
A few weeks ago, FC Barcelona launched a campaign with Leo Messi called ‘Busquem el
10’, to promote the Club’s leadership on the social networks. Messi’s
participation seems to have boosted the support for the Club on Facebook and on Saturday the number
of fans passed 10 million.
