The 46th edition of the Joan Gamper Estrella Damn Trophy will once again serve as the official presentation of the first team squad to the Club fans and members, when they take on Italy’s Champions League qualified Napoli. This year the Trophy will also coincide with the “Fiesta Barça” –a chance for members to come together in air conditioned marquees to enjoy entertainment, food and drink, shopping and even a small football pitch.

As well as the exclusive to members “Barça Fiesta”, there will also be the traditional pre-Gamper game music and entertainment activities from 15.00 on match day. Entrance to these activities is open to anybody with a ticket for the game and the idea is to be able to enjoy an atmosphere of Barça which will climax in the presentation of the squad and coaching staff at 19.50.

Napoli – Champions League rivals

For the game itself, Barça will face Napoli, who qualified for this season’s Champions League by finishing third behind AC and Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A last year. The team includes the Argentinean international Ezequiel Lavezzi, the Slovak Marek Hamsik and Uruguay’s Edinson Cavani, as well as summer signings including the Swiss midfielder Gokhan Inler from Udinese and Marco Donadel, from Fiorentina.
