Iniesta: “We have to change the situation”
Andrés Iniesta agrees with Rafa Márquez and has not lost hope of getting past Liverpool and into the quarter finals of the Champions League.
During a publicity event, the midfielder has commented on Wednesday night’s defeat at home to
Liverpool. Iniesta says “the situation is complicated given the results, but we have to stay
positive and try to change the situation”.
Turning things round
Andrés Iniesta, who joined the game in the second half, believes his team is quite capable of
turning the tie on its head at Anfield. “It is complicated when you lose the home leg of a
game like this and the return is over there, but if they have won here, that means we have to be
able to win the return there”.
Out to win
The player’s comments very much echoed what was said earlier on in the day by his
colleague Rafa Márquez. Iniesta said “if we want to qualify for the next round, we know what
we have to do. We have to give it everything, and if the team plays well, I am sure we have plenty
of options”.
