Gentle warm-down session
The FC Barcelona squad trained on Sunday, the day after drawing at home to Real Madrid. It was a relaxed recovery and warm-down session.
La Masia was the venue for the first training session after the Madrid classic, and the main focus
was on recuperation work for the players that appeared in the game on Saturday night. Training
began at noon, although Deco and Ronaldinho were missing, as they were working out in the club gym
instead.
First teamers
The session started with the usual running exercises and stretching. The players then divided
into different groups to go through the usual drill routines. Puyol, Thuram and Valdés worked in
isolation from the main group, and it was the captain who was the first to head back to the
showers.
Mini game to end
Once the drills concluded, the players that had faced Capello’s side were excused from
the reminder of the workout. Oleguer and Eto’o, however, stayed and joined in with the other
activities, in which the players were divided into two teams for a short match.
Several relatives of the players were in attendance. Eidur Gudjohnsen came in the company of
his two children, while Belletti also arrived for training with his son.
