A pretty good day
This Saturday, with wins for all 4 of Barca's main sporting sections, has been a pretty good day all round. Only the 5 a-side football team couldn't add to the wins, and that only because they didn't play!
Rijkaard's team won away to Recreativo to stake a stronger claim to the league leadership and
Winterthur showed that they are on the up with a win over Real Madrid. To add to that both the
Handball and the Roller Hockey teams won their league games this Saturday.
El ‘clásico' won by Barça
Winterthur FC Barcelona won the 100th version of the ACB ‘clásico' this Saturday by
73-68. The Palau Blaugrana fans, who welcomed Ivanovic's team with a spectacular mosaic in the
stands, managed an important win over Madrid that puts Barça only 3 games behind the leader, which
is Real Madrid.
The Cup champions are back
After their victory in the Kings Cup last weekend, Barça-Cifec were back in action in the
Asobal league and won against Bidasoa (24-33), reinforcing their current run of good form. With
this triumph Xesco Espar's team have consolidated 3rd place in the league, one of the three places
which would qualify them for the Champions League next season.
Outright leader in the OK League.
Barça Sorli Discau mantained their positive run and this Saturday beat Igualada (3-5). With 3
games to go before the end of the regular season, Quim Paüls's team is outright leader of the OK
League, followed by Alnimar Reus, who are 14 points behind Barca.
