Ronaldinho has been named in the squad to travel to Villarreal after missing the last two FC Barcelona games as he has continued on his path to full fitness using a personal training programme.
Frank Rijkaard has called up the Brazilian and, along with Lionel Messi and Sameul Eto’o, now
has his habitual three-pronged attack for the game in El Madrigal on Sunday evening. The last time
that the trio played together was on March 31 in the 2-1 victory against Deportivo La Coruña.
Eto’o was then unable to play in the league game against Real Zaragoza, while
Ronaldinho missed the matches against Mallorca in la Primera and Getafe in the Copa del Rey. It
must be remembered that with these three playing up front together, Barça have never lost a league
game.
Without Márquez
Rafael Márquez is the only player that has been rested for the game this weekend. Rijkaard is
also without Thiago Motta, Edmílson and Iuliano Belletti, who are all out with injuries.
