Injured players on road to recovery
Motta, Belletti and Edmílson, the injured first team players that have not made the trip to Egypt, visited the Camp Nou as usual this morning to continue their respective recovery programmes.
It was business as usual for these three players, while the rest of squad is off on an exotic trip
to Cairo to face Al-Ahly. The trio underwent physiotherapy before working out on the Camp Nou turf.
Jogging for Motta
Thiago Motta, who has an Achilles tendon injury, followed his physiotherapy treatment with a
session in the stadium accompanied by physio Francesc Cos, and he jogged up and down the pitch at a
gentle pace for fifteen or so minutes.
Belletti coming on nicely
Belletti also received treatment in the changing rooms area before a short appearance on the
Camp Nou pitch. The full back tore fibres in his right femoral biceps during the 1-0 win against
Mallorca.
Edmílson at La Masía
Edmílson joined his two colleagues for medical treatment, before working out first in the
stadium and later at La Masia. The Brazilian has injured the distal isquiotibial muscle in his
right knee, and his work today consisted of circuit training and shots on goal.
