Sandra Sarmiento/Miriam Nadal
José Edmílson and Thiago Motta have been recalled to the FC Barcelona by Frank Rijkaard for the game against Real Sociedad after being given the green light to play again after recovering from injury.
The Brazilian-born duo have both missed several games after picking up knocks, with Edmílson being
sidelined with a thigh injury and Motta out of action due to an ankle problem. Club doctors
informed them on Wednesday that they would be fit to travel to Anoeta.
Injury update
Rafael Márquez is out of the squad again, having missed the
game against Levante last weekend as well. Juliano Belletti is back training with the first team
squad, but has not been given the all clear after a muscle injury, while Deco hurt his ankle in a
collision with Ludovic Giuly in midweek that has seen him ruled out for a fortnight.
Santi Ezquerro has been rested by Rijkaard.
Private training
On Friday, the Barça squad were put through their paces on
the Camp Nou pitch behind closed doors before travelling up to San Sebastian later in the day. The
only players missing from the training session were those that are carrying injuries.
The squad for Real Sociedad
