Motta joins final open doors training session

Thiago Motta and Lilian Thuram were both involved in the Tuesday training session, although the former did not join in all of the exercises as he is still not completely recovered.
Motta, who missed training on Monday due to an abscess on his right leg, joined in with most of the
Tuesday session. Thuram was also back after being given special permission by the club to miss the
Monday workout.
Control, passing and losing markers
Márquez and Deco, however, were still out injured as the team
went though the usual warm-up routine before dividing into two groups for circuit training. The
first involved no goalkeepers and was focused on control, passing and losing markers, while a few
obstacles were added to make it that little bit harder.
Finishing off
In the second part, Víctor Valdés and Albert Jorquera were added to the equation. The squad
continued in the same two groups, but this time the task ended with quick first-touch moves and
shots on the goals defended by the stoppers from l’Hospitalet and Bescanó.
Training match to end
The session ended with the typical mini-match. Wearing blue
bibs were Valdés, Belletti, Saviola, Giuly, Zambrotta, Xavi, Gudjohnsen, Ronaldinho and physio
Albert Roca who faced a side made up of Jorquera, Oleguer, Edmílson, Messi, Sylvinho, Gio,
Ezquerro, Eto’o and Iniesta. Motta, Puyol and Thuram skipped this part of the session, and
trained individually instead.
This was the last open doors training sessions before the Copa del Rey match with Getafe. On
Wednesday there will be a private session at 11.00 in the Camp Nou before the side flies off to
Madrid.
