Meeting and Training
Aleix Santacana/Miriam Nadal
Barça started their training session this Friday following a 25 minute meeting in the changing rooms. Rijkaard’s men are putting the finishing touches on their preparation for the Liga clash against Betis.
Following the defeat in the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, the Barça first team trained at the Masia on
Friday morning. Before the session got underway, the team met in the changing rooms for a meeting,
which lasted 25 minutes. It is widely thought that these minutes were spent reflecting on
Thursday’s defeat and preparing for Sunday’s game; the first of five remaining
encounters.
Deco back in
Deco comes back into the squad following his absence due to
an ankle knock. The Portuguese midfielder carried out a regular session with his team mates.
Marquez and Motta are the only players missing; both through injury.
Post game training
The session on Friday was focussed on exercises associated
with recovery from the previous night’s game. Therefore, the ball control exercises, the warm
ups and the races, formed the base of the preparatory session, which was short on happy faces.
During the session, Frank Rijkaard took a minute to speak with Eto’o, who later left to go to
a press conference.
