Scotland eager to see Barça
Barça’s match against Dundee United is already a sell-out with 14,500 tickets sold while tickets for the second match against Hearts are disappearing rapidly.
The match against Dundee United at Tannadice Park on 26th July is a complete sell-out. The 14,500
tickets were snapped up by local members and season ticket holders in just six days.
Possible record against Hearts
Meanwhile, sales of tickets for the match between Hearts and Barça on 28th July at
Murrayfield, the home of the Scottish national rugby team, have surprised even the organisers. Some
20,000 tickets have been sold in the first three weeks (a third of capacity) and the record for the
attendance at a football match – set last August at a match between Hearts and AEK (32.500
spectators) - looks likely to be broken.
Ronaldinho boosts sales
Tickets sales for the Hearts v Barça match have been given a boost by the news that
Ronaldinho will not be taking part in the Copa America. It’s thought that sales will increase
sharply in the last two or three days before the match when the Barça squad will be training in
Scotland.
Barça has a pre-season training camp at Saint Andrews from 23rd to 28th July before leaving
on a tour of Asia.
