“My heart says Barça”

Sandra Sarmiento/Roger Bogunyà

Antoni Pinilla, current Nastic player and ex-blaugrana says “My heart says Barça will win the Liga.”

The veteran forward explained all to Barça TV and www.fcbarcelona.cat that “it wouldn’t be a miracle if Barça won the Liga title, despite not having much chance. Madrid have the upper hand.” Pinilla, culé supporter, declared that “my heart says Barça will win the Liga, but my head says it would be justified if Sevilla won.”

Despite nothing being in play for them, a victory against Barça will “be great for our fans, who have supported us well this season despite suffering. It would be the best way to end the season.”

Barça will give everything

The 36 year old forward expects “a Barça striving for victory.” For this motive, Pinilla expects “a difficult game because Barça know how to move the ball well and these situation.” The danger being “their quality and experience”.

No blame

Asked if Nastic will deny Barça the Liga, Pinilla explained “if Barça don’t win the Liga, it won’t be because they lost or drew in Tarragona.” For the ex-blaugrana, “Barça’s games against Betis and Espanyol have meant it’s all down the final game.”

Past and future
Antoni Pinilla Miranda, born in Badalona on February 25th 1971, played for one season in the Barça first team (1990 – 1991). “Many years have passed, however, to play against Barça is always a special game; it’s always a day I mark down on my calendar.”

Regarding his future, Pinillla explained that “I’d love to continue playing and even more so for Tarragona. We have to reach an agreement, but I’m sure it won’t be difficult”; remembering that Pinilla’s contract is up at the end of this season.
