Barça’s chances of winning

The final game of the season sees Barça, Madrid and Sevilla all fighting it out for top honours. Barça have their chances, however, victory over Tarragona is a must if they are to stand any chance.

If Barça win in the Nou Estadi, they would need Madrid to draw or lose to Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu. With this scenario, Barça will be on more points and therefore preventing Madrid from using their superior head to head goal advantage to claim the title.

Difficult with a draw

The blaugrana, however, can still be champions with a draw in Tarragona, although this would be reliant on Madrid losing at home. Sevilla will not play a part in the title fight unless Barça draw and Madrid come away with nothing from their respective encounters, due to Juande Ramos’ lower goal average.

Further Danger

If Barça and Madrid were to draw and Sevilla were to win, Barça would find themselves in third spot due to having the lowest goal average when including all three teams.
