Rested players report for training

Sandra Sarmiento / Anna Segura

The Barcelona players that have not been called up for the game against Alcoyano trained on the pitch in front of La Masia on Wednesday morning and it proved to be a light session.

With Frank Rijkaard looking to rest several players as he prepares a team to play in the second leg of the Copa del Rey tie, there were several first team regulars being put throught their paces. Touré Yaya, Gaby Milito, Rafa Márquez, Samuel Eto'o, Thierry Henry and Andrés Iniesta were all present for the session. Víctor Valdés and Xavi also trained on the Camp Nou pitch, despite being included in the squad.

Henry and Zambrotta

The French international worked in the gym on Tuesday afternoon before joining the rest of the players for a late session in the evening.

Recovery work

Ronaldinho is attempting to shake off tendonitis and was due to report in on Wednesday afternoon for a recovery session that has been especially designed by the club's medical and coaching staff.
