FC Barcelona and Olympique Lyonnais have come to an agreement for the midfielder to be loaned to the French club until the end of the season.
Marc Crosas will don the Lyon shirt for the next five months. Barça and the French club closed the
deal on Friday after the club gave the player permission to go to France on Thursday for a medical
examination before the definitive contract could be made official.
Before leaving, the midfielder had said to www.fcbarcelona.cat “it is very nice that
they have taken an interest in me. I means having as many opportunities as possible, a regular
place and the chance to make as much of it as I can. It is very difficult to get a regular place in
a side like Barça. My objective at OL will be too have a good season”.
An elite club
After sealing the agreement, Crosas will finally get the chance to play
football for a high ranking club. “I am leaving the best team in the Spanish league to go to
the best in France. They are a top level team and are also in the next round of the Champions
League. I will be training with a group of players of a similar level to that at Barça”.
Experience abroad
This will be the first taste Crosas has had of foreign football. I am highly motivated by the
fact that they have shown an interest in me since day one. When the option of going out on loan
came up I knew going abroad would be a good choice, to learn about a different kind of football ...
but my dream is to come back and make my name at Barça”.
