Ezquerro and Sylvinho picked to face Murcia

Ezquerro and Sylvinho are the main additions to the squad that will face Murcia on Saturday. The rest of the squad as good as picks itself, with Oier Olazábal as replacement goalkeeper.

Frank Rijkaard has picked the 17 players he has available, 16 from the first team and Oier Olazábal of Barça B. That is the same squad that played Sevilla on Wednesday, plus Ezquerro and Sylvinho, while the injured Edmílson is out. Messi, Deco, Oleguer, Ronaldinho and Jorquera are all injured as well and hence unavailable, while Touré Yaya is away preparing for the African Nations Cup with the Ivory Coast.

Deco included

Deco trained as normal on Friday, having overcome his abductor problems picked up in last weekend’s game in Mallorca. He was omitted from the cup squad that went to Seville. Oleguer also took part in the session, but has yet to receive the full medical all clear.
