Messi, Oleguer and Pinto are in the squad for this Sunday’s game against Racing de Santander. The Argentinean striker was given the all-clear after the last training session before the game.
The Barça squad for the Racing game includes three key additions: Leo
Messi, Oleguer Presas and José Manuel Pinto. The Argentinean striker was given the all-clear after
the training session held at Nou Camp on Saturday morning, whilst Catalan defender Oleguer had been
given the all-clear earlier in the week. Newly-signed Andalusian goalkeeper José Manuel Pinto makes
his debut in the squad.
The absentees are the injured Ronaldinho, Edmílson, Ezquerro and Jorquera, as well as Eto'o
and Touré Yaya, who are playing in the African Cup.
Puyol trains normally
Carles Puyol, off on Friday because of a cold, trained as
normal this Saturday morning. José Manuel Pinto took part in his first training session as a Barça
player. He was back with Sylvinho, who he played with at Celta de Vigo, and was seen having a long
conversation with Eusebio and Víctor Valdés. After being welcomed by his team-mates and having
completed the usual warm-ups, he started work with the club’s goalkeeping trainer Juan Carlos
Unzué, along with Valdés and Oier.
