Thierry Henry has scored 10 goals in three competitions this season. Of the 8 games he has scored in, 7 have resulted in Barça wins, while the other certified qualification for the quarter finals of the cup.
If Henry scores, then it usually spells good news for Barça. The French striker has been on
target 6 times in the league, and twice each in the Copa del Rey and Champions League, and all
those goals have led to positive things. Of all those games, only one didn't end in a Barça
victory, and that was the important away draw in the cup first leg in Sevilla, an away goal that
would eventually mean Barça went into the last eight.
4 league wins
The six league goals, which tie him with Ronaldinho and are only surpassed by Leo Messi, have
led to 4 different wins. He scored a hat trick away to Levante (1-4), and scored at the Camp Nou
against Almería (2-0), Betis (3-0) and Racing (1-0). That’s three goals at home and three
away.
Two Champions League goals at Camp Nou
He also scored twice in the Champions League group. The
first came against Olympique Lyon (3-0), his first ever at the Camp Nou. He also scored the opening
goal when Barça entertained Glasgow Rangers (2-0). Henry is the fourth highest goalscorer in
Champions League history, having totalled 44 goals for Barça, Monaco and Arsenal.
One in each round
Henry has scored in every round of the Copa de Rey played to date, curiously always in the
away leg, first at Alcoyano (0-3), and then two weeks ago at the Sánchez Pizjuán (1-1).
