The French defender returns to the squad for Barça’s visit to Bilbao. But the Mexican has a thigh injury and will not play.
Frank Rijkaard has picked the 18 players that are available for the game at Athlétic Club in San Mamés. These include Éric Abidal, who has got over the foot problem that left him out of the side that went to Villarreal. But Rafa Márquez collected an injury of his own at El Madrigal and will not be making the trip north.
Training behind closed doors
The squad trained in private today as they get ready for
tomorrow’s encounter. Before starting, Rijkaard gathered the players into a group on the Camp
Nou turf to congratulate Andrés Iniesta on extending his contract until 2014.
