The first team landed this Sunday morning from Seville. On arriving at the Nou Camp, the players headed straight for the dressing room to change and carried out a light warm down session in La Masía.
Frank Rijkaard’s men returned from Seville and arrived at the Nou
Camp around 12.15. A little later, the group headed for La Masía for a warm down session following
Saturday’s game in the Sánchez Pizjuán (1-1). There they met up with Carles Puyol who was
training with a physio as he continues his recovery from injury.
So, present at the session were Valdés, Iniesta, Milito, Edmílson,
Giovani, Gudjohnsen, Ronaldinho and Pinto, who were accompanied by those youth team players who
were called up for the Sevilla game - Espasandín, Víctor Vázquez and Víctor Sánchez -, as well as
Barça B keeper Daniel Planchería. Obviously, the three players from Pep Guardiola’s side who
travelled to Seville did not arrive in time to play Barça B’s game in Castelldefels.
Three of the players who started in the Sánchez Pizjuán, namely Iniesta,
Valdés and Milito, were the first to leave La Masía, after having done some warm up exercises and
some laps of the pitch. The rest were did some drills and then some ball work. The players finished
with some various exercises finishing with a one on one with the keeper.
