Recuperation thinking about the Champions
Sandra Sarmiento/Anna Segura
The first team players have trained this Sunday morning in the ‘Masia’ training ground. Those who played yesterday had a lighter recovery session, while the rest prepared for the next game on Tuesday against Celtic.
After suffering the first loss of 2008, the blue and reds have to turn the page as quickly as
possible. Now it’s time for the Champions League, with the return leg against Glasgow Celtic.
Post-game session.
As is usual the blue and reds that played in the first
eleven have had a lighter recovery session. Zambrotta and Henry were the first to abandon the
training field. Milito, Eto’o, Puyol and Abidal carried on sprint training and the others
practiced one touch control.
Present at the training session were Bojan and Touré, absent from the squad against Atletico
Madrid. On the other hand, Victor Valdés didn’t leave the gym and continued training inside.
Six players from the youth squad.
The selectors have called up five players from the B-team and one from the youth team to
training. They are Fali, Victor Vazquez, Victor Sanchez, Marc Valiente and the goalkeeper Dani
Plancheria, all five from the B-team, and the youth Ilie.
The first team players gradually disappeared from the turf at the ‘Masia’. The
preparatory session continued for the other blue and reds, who carried on doing circuit training
and a kick around to end the training session.
