Frank Rijkaard has named an 18-man squad for the visit of Villarreal to Camp Nou on Sunday evening. Touré Yaya has been given the green light to be included.
The Blaugrana coach has called up 18 players to his squad for the visit of the Yellow Submarine.
Touré Yaya made it in after being doubtful during the week when he reported some pain in his back
and was given a specific training programme to carry out. The Ivory Coast player trained on
Saturday with no problems and was named in the squad.
Puyol and Messi out
The players that were in the side that played Celtic in midweek, but are
not included this weekend are Carles Puyol, who is suspended, and Lionel messi, who is injured. The
Argentinian has already begun his recovery programme as he looks to return from a torn muscle in
his thigh. These two players add their names to the other injured players that include Rafa
Márquez, Albert Jorquera, Oleguer Presas and Santi Ezquerro.
Two players that have returned to the squad after missing the Celtic
game are Giovani Dos Santos, who was rested in midweek, and Gaby Milito, who was suffering from a
high fever. Edmílson came into replace the defender late on.
Touré and Bojan return
The main changes in the squad from the last league outing against Atlético de Madrid last
Saturday are that Touré Yaya and Bojan Krkic return and Puyol and Messi are out.
