Oleguer has a second fracture of the third metacarpal bone in his left hand which is situated below the fracture for which he recently had surgery. He will be unable to move his hand for a period of four weeks.
The Catalan did not take part in the final training session before departing for Valencia.
Oleguer took a knock to his third metacarpian bone in his left hand and needed immediate treatment.
Following the medical tests carried out on Tuesday afternoon a second fracture of the third
metacarpal bone in the left hand has been diagnosed which is situated below the fracture for which
he recently had surgery. The FC Barcelona Medical Staff, the traumatologist Dr. Xavier Mir and the
player himself have agreed upon the treatment to be followed and surgery has been discounted.
According to the press release "the player will be unable to move his hand for a period of
four weeks".
Injured on February 9
Oleguer Presas first injured his hand in the match against Sevilla on February 9. Four days
after that the defender received surgery on the third metacarpian bone in his left hand. A month
later on March 13, he was given the medical all-clear.
