Training in the rain

The squad went through their paces in a rain-swept Miniestadi on Thursday morning. Henry, Iniesta and Márquez were all able to join in some of the work with the main group of players.
The players were back training in Barcelona on Thursday after their stay in the nearby resort of Montanyà. The session was held behind closed doors in the Miniestadi, where the players continued their preparations for the vital match against Espanyol despite the heavy rain.

Frank Rijkaard had a total of 21 players at the session
including Henry, Iniesta and Márquez, all of whom were all missing from Montanyà. These three
players warmed up with the rest of the group and then separated off to work with the recovery
coach, as did Milito and Thuram.
Meanwhile, Ronaldinho, Oleguer and Jorquera received treatment for their respective injuries in the Camp Nou dressing rooms.
Espanyol the target
Today’s session focussed on Saturday’s local derby against Espanyol. The final training
session before the match will be held in the Camp Nou on Friday.
