The football first team has arrived in Manchester. After a two hour and twenty minute flight the Barça party landed in England at 1 pm local time (2 pm in Catalonia).
Many of the first team players and Board members have been
accompanied by friends and family members. Albert Jorquera, who is still recovering from injury,
has also travelled to the second leg of the Champions League semi-final.
A hundred Barça fans also flew out on the plane to
Manchester alongside the players, directors and journalists. These fans are the first of almost
4,000 supporters
who will be in Manchester on Tuesday to cheer on Barça in what will be one of the most
important games of the season.
Frank Rijkaard’s men will train this evening at 7 pm (8 pm in Catalonia) at Old Trafford.
Beforehand Rijkaard and Gianluca Zambrotta will be speaking to the media at a press conference set
for 6.15 pm.
Manchester United have had their pre-match training session at the club’s training
ground this Monday morning. Sir Alex Ferguson and one of his players will be answering questions
from the media at 2 pm.
