Operations for Milito and Touré on Tuesday

Gaby Milito and Touré Yaya will be operated on this Tuesday for their injuries.
The Argentinean will be operated on by Doctor Ramon Cugat at 2 pm at the Clínica Quirón to deal
with the damage to the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The Ivory Coast midfielder
will be operated on by Doctor Enric Cáceres at 3.30 pm in the Instituto Dexeus for a slipped disk.
Both doctors are then scheduled to appear at a press conference accompanied by first team
doctor Ricard Pruna at 5.30 pm tomorrow in the Camp Nou press room to report on how the operations
have gone.
The injuries
Gaby Milito was injured in the return leg of the Champions League
semi-final at Old Trafford. After a series of tests the club’s medical services confirmed
last week that the defender had damaged the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and would
need to be operated on.
In Touré Yaya’s case his slipped disc was detected in the middle of March and at the
time was treated with epidural infiltrations.
The two players’ stats for the season
This campaign Gaby Milito has played in a total of 42 games, made up of 27 in the League, 9 in the
Champions League and 6 in the Spanish Cup. In his first season at Barcelona Touré Yaya turned out
in 38 matches, with 26 being in the League, 9 in the Champions League and 3 in the Spanish Cup.
Touré also spent a month playing in the African Cup of Nations with his national side.
