www.fcbarcelona.cat
Frank Rijkaard has named 15 first team players and two from the B team for his last ever official squad as coach of FC Barcelona as they take on Real Murcia on the final day of the season this weekend.
The number of absentees has meant that the coaching staff has had to call upon those available and
also call up some youngsters for the game with Fali and Rueda again tasting life at the top.
Gianluca Zambrotta is also included after being given the green light by medical staff after
recovering from a knock.
Xavi is back after completing his suspension last weekend against Mallorca and Eidur
Gudjohnsen is also named. In contrast, Edmílson is suspended, Touré Yaya is recovering, Deco has a
knock and Rafa Márquez still has problems with his ankle.
Training behind closed doors
Barça trained behind closed doors on Friday morning in Camp Nou in the last session before
they head to Murcia for the game on Saturday evening.
Rijkaard worked with all 13 available players that would make up the majority of the squad
and Fali and Rueda were also included. Gudjohnsen and Zambrotta did not train but are in the squad.
The squad: Valdés Valdés, Puyol, Xavi, Gudjohnsen, Eto'o, Zambrotta, Pinto, Henrio, Giovani,
Ezquerro, Messi, Thuram, Abidal, Oleguer, Bojan, Rueda, Fali.
