Txiki: “We’re at an advanced stage in negotiations”

Txiki Begiristain acknowledged during half time of the Murcia-Barça match that: “We’re at an advanced stage in negotiations”, referring to possible player signings over the next few days.

The technical director limited himself to saying “we have ongoing negotiations, some more advanced than others”, but he wouldn’t give any names.

Monday’s press conference

Txiki Begiristain warned that the aim of the press conference that he and Marc Ingla will be giving on Monday isn’t to announce signings, though “it would be nice”.

Barça B

On the possibility of Luis Enrique being the next coach for Barça B, he answered that he hoped it would be, but that it was all down to Luis whether he wanted to coach the side that Josep Guardiola has coached this season.
