Summer homework for first team squad

www.fcbarcelona.cat explains the summer break work the coaches and medical staff have prepared for the first team players, whilst they are enjoying their well-earned holiday.
All the first-team players were given a specially prepared plan for their summer breaks, by the
training staff and the medical services of the club. The plan details general information about
general training to be done during the break and also includes a personalized plan for each player,
taking into account the position each one occupies and if he’s suffered any injuries over the
last season.
Work to be done
Beginning three weeks before official training starts at the club, the
players are expected to carry out exercises to improve their stamina ,such as running and jumping,
as well as working out with weights.
Frequency
These plans start this week and are to be done three times a week,
evening and morning, increasing to four and then five times a week as the start of official
training draws closer.
Initial phase
Before starting their work though, the players are expected to take some time to relax and
recharge their batteries after a very full season and they have been encouraged to take some gentle
exercise playing beach volleyball or enjoying a round or two of golf.
