FC Barcelona and AS Roma have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ludovic Giuly to the Italian club with a fee of €3.2m to be paid up front and a performance-related additional fee of €1.2m.
The extra €1.2m will be paid if AS Roma qualify for the UEFA Champions League in each of the
next three seasons.
First taste of Italy
Giuly
joined FC Barcelona from AS Monaco in 2004, after six years with the French league club, and
has made 117 appearances and scored 23 goals. The move to AS Roma will see the 31-year-old enjoy
his first experience of Italian football.
With only a year left on his contract at Camp Nou, Giuly is set to join AS Roma on a
three-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2010.
