Milito signs four-year deal

This Thursday, Gaby Milito signed a four-year deal with FC Barcelona and described Barça as “the best team in the world".
After a successful medical, Gabriel Milito reported to the
Club offices where he was met by Club president Joan Laporta, vice-president Ferran Soriano and
director of football, Txiki Begiristain. He has committed himself to Barça for the next four years.
Transfer fee
Barça have paid Zaragoza 17 million euros plus a variable amount that could rise to a further 3.5 euros. His release clause has been fixed at 90 million euros.
Praise for Txiki
Speaking at the press conference to unveil the player, Joan
Laporta made special mention of the work done by Txiki Begiristain on this summers’ signings.
He also stressed the cooperation of Milito, his agent and Zaragoza president Agapito Iglesias in
making the deal possible.
Number 12
For the moment, Gabriel Milito will wear the number 12 shirt. However, this may change depending on
further outgoing transfer movement. He has also joined the ranks of the Barça Toons.
