The first team has flown off to Munich, where they will be meeting Bayern tomorrow at 18.00 in the last game before the league programme starts.
FC Barcelona’s pre-season continues. They set off on Tuesday for Munich, where they are to
face
Bayern Munich
with
Mark Van Bommel
(18:00, Barça TV and Barça TV Online) in a game where the prize on offer is the Franz
Beckenbauer Cup.
Major expectation
The
20 players in the squad
, plus the coaching staff, left the Camp Nou at 16:45 for El Prat airport. They have a charter
flight to catch at 18.00, but before that there were the usual autographs to sign and photographs
to pose for as they made their way through the hundreds of tourists coming and going at the
airport.
The expedition is being led by vice president Alfons Godall, director Rafael Yuste, and
general manager, Anna Xicoy. The FC Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, will be joining the
travelling party on Wednesday at midday.
Thirty supporters
The squad were joined on the flight by a group of 30 supporters who have decided to travel to
Bavaria and enjoy Barça’s last game before they start their league programme. The group
included former club president Agustí Montal.
